This is a review of a classic machine
pistol that has many brands and forms available today. This is the KSC version, with the real trademarks, and the full metal
body.
Realism
This is a dead look alike for the
real M11. I have held, shot and photographed a real M11, and if I held a
real steel in one hand, and the KSC In the other, even upon close
inspection of the outside, it would be hard to differentiate between the
two. Upon feeling the guns however, the real gun feels far more solid, but
that is to be expected. Overall, this gun gets a 9 on a 10 point scale for
realism.
Functionality
The gun is very simple to operate and
very user friendly. However I think Wraith said it
best " ...with the recommended gas, this gun cannot hit a barn door with a
BARN..." Unfortunately, this is true. However, upon
trial of higher grade gas, and with the hop-up adjusted correctly, this is
a great gun. The full auto and semi auto fire modes are reliable, and the
shot consistency is great. The gun however, does not like
to shoot in semi auto, but it will none the less. The stock is mostly for
looks, as you never need to shoulder the gun due to it's light weight. It
does add to the realism and experience though.
Effectiveness On the Field
Lets start by
saying that I would never even think of making this my primary. Most
likely not even my secondary (which is currently the Infinity 3.9"). This
gun does however make a very very nice emergency backup weapon. It even makes a
nice gun for some quick and effective cover fire. These 2-3 uses, while
important, do not make this a candidate for a primary, such as the TMP
might be. If you don't mind using it for CQB or emergency situations, you
will love the gun. The ROF is downright scary, and the sound without the
silencer is intimidating. (The Tanio Koba Silencer
-www.airsoftextreme.com- is a great addition and is worth the money) But,
If you cannot afford a 60-90$ silencer, check the tech pages soon to see
how I made a cheap yet effective and good looking silencer for under 12$
at Home Depot.
Problems
After using this gun for about 5
months, we have encountered no problems, other than the typical problem of
people not double stacking bb's in the mag correctly. This WILL cause the
gun to misfire and the bolt will stay forward. Honestly, to date, the gun
has had no problems to speak of.
IMO Opinions
This is a great gun, reliable,
effective, and probably the only gun out of the three gbb SMG's that fired
every clip I used reliably. There is the large problem of the gun being
extremely inaccurate, but other than that, this is a great candidate for
an emergency backup, or a great gun to take to a GBB game. Compared to the
TMP and Micro Uzi, this is a decent gun with some ups and some downs,
overall a great gun to have and use.
