Team Airsoft's In House
Review
This is our review of the Stoner,
Marui's latest R.I.S M4 variant. I looked for along time at M4's, and the
variants available, and after looking at the features of each, I chose
this to be the first one I would try.
Realism
Well, I have held a real M4, but never
a Stoner, but I can say that it does look very real. It has the typical
plastic sheen of the Marui guns, but since it's black, it looks very
convincing. It does not come with the carry handle, I had to acquire that
after I bought the gun. Ordinarily, the gun comes with just a flattop
receiver like the M4A1. As you can see, the trades are flawless, and done
very well.
Functionality
As for the functionality of the gun,
while it was stock, there is not much to say about it. It is basically the
same as any other Marui AEG. It is however exceptionally accurate
considering the length of the barrel. It is however very reliable, and I
have found that unlike most other Armalite series guns, my hop-up door
shuts and stays shut with very little effort. The RIS is solid, and the
barrel is solid as well, I have yet to experience ANY barrel wobble from
this gun.
Effectiveness On the Field
As I said before, this gun is no
different from any other stock Marui gun before upgraded, save the barrel
length. Currently this gun shoots at 364 with a PDI 120, Systema Standard
Ratio flat Gears, Oilless Bushings, and a polycarb piston. It shoots very
well, and very consistently.
Problems
So far I have encountered no problems
with this gun whatsoever. The trigger is responsive and crisp like the
rest of the M4 series
IMH Opinions
With the silencer and the carry handle,
I think this gun has a great look to it. (I didn't like it with the Flat
Top) It has been a great gun in the field, and after custom cutting the
stock to fit a large 9.6, it has a great ROF. The instructions to cut the
stock will be posted soon in the Tech section.
